In order to most likely get approved, when a foreign applicant plans to apply for a TRV, it is advised to obtain a letter of invitation from the person whom he/ she is visiting in Canada. Apart from it, a financial proof is also be required, and return ticket/s help to show the intention to return to their home country at the end of the tour.
Individuals who wish to visit Canada with the intention of business may apply for a Canadian Business Visa formally called Temporary Resident Visa. This will include but not limited to business meetings. It is important to note that a business visitor should not be paid for his/ her time in Canada and should not provide any essential service that may require a work permit. A business visitor should receive an invitation letter from the Canadian business they are visiting.
This type of visa allows parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens and permanent residents to visit Canada for up to two years at a time. To be eligible for such a visa a Canadian child or grandchild must demonstrate that they have sufficient financial resources to support their parents or grandparents, and the visitor must pass a medical examination and purchase private medical insurance.
Alternatively, immigration authorities will use the same visa application check as visitor visas, such as deciding whether the visitor may return to their home country at the end of their visit. When evaluating visa applications, the immigration authorities will also look into whether the applicant has financial ties or employment bindings in his/ her home country and has valid reasons to return. The economic and political situation of the applicant's country is also a factor to consider, as visitors from an unstable country may be reluctant to return once they have been granted admission to Canada. Immigration authorities want to ensure that a visitor comply with the rules regarding his/ her stay and thus, qualify for a Super Visa. Refusals may also be appealed in Federal Court.
